Recital weekend!!!!

Sunday was Nicole's recital! She was so funny....you know the kid everyone watches and laughs...yeppers that was our Nicole! She was so funny....she twirled and twirled, looked up at the lights, stuck her tongue out! It was awesome! The whole place was laughing! I am hoping to get a video of it, we couldnt record our own so i am hoping so. I have video below of the dress rehearsal...but the recital was better! LOL!!!!!! Here are some pics of my babe

Today we went for her dress rehearsal and tomorrow is the recital. She was so damn cute as all the girls were. She loved looking at the lights, she made me laugh. We cant videotape tomorrow so i snuck in my camera today for some pictures and video...hope you enjoy. I love this kid to pieces!!!!

Birthday Party

Today we went over to Nicole's friend Emma's house. It was her 4th birthday party! Corey came with us as her husband was home and wanted someone to play Wii with! LOL. Her parents were also there and our friend Carrie-Anne. It was such a fun day. All the girls played so nicely together...no fights, no crying! The guys played Wii golf, and us ladies just chatted outside on the deck! It was a great day!

10 Things Tuesday 6/17/08

Well here goes my list.........

1. My husband for being such an amazing father. He is so supportive of doing what is best for Nicole. And just loving her with all he has, makes me smile all the time when i see them together. It is a true blessing.

2. The Westphal family for being so generous and letting us stay with them! Even though i had to go to bed with Nicole because she was nervous it was still so comforting to know we have amazing friends we can depend on and have a great time with!

3. RIck and Cristina for watching our dog Maggie while we took a little vacation!!!!! Saved us some money and she got to be with her buddy Demon!

4. God for blessing me with my family. I am so truly blessed and thank him everyday for it.

5. Nicole for being so damn adorable! Last night her and I were eating dinner and she was chatting away (as always) and she just stopped and looked at me and said "Mommy I think I need more shoes" LOL.....so funny. She is an old soul i think. Just remarkable how smart she is.

6. My friend Samantha for listening to me complain about one topic for almost a year now. She lets me get out my frustrations and really just listens.

7. Nicole's godmother Melissa....she has helped us out so much with Nicole's dance class and now her recital is this weekend and Melissa is so busy and still is going to help me with her hair!!!! She is so sweet to Nicole and i love her for that.

8. Nicole again....today i woke up at 3:30 and couldnt go back to sleep and thought i was going to be real cranky...and i had to get errands done and Nicole was so nice and funny and kept my spirits up. I even took her to Papa Ginos for lunch and i finished my slice and i saw her watch me and put her hands like mine and say "this is a lovely lunch isnt it". She is so sweet. I cant get enough of her.

9. Madonna's new song 4 Minutes to Save the World....Nicole and I love to sing the chorus to it together and makes us laugh .... "Ma-donna....gotta get it......tick tock tick tock"

10. My ambition to clean my fridge today! I so didnt want to....i am exhausted but knew i had to...and now its so fresh and clean! I feel good about that!

Mini Vacation!

We took a nice little vacation for a couple of days up to New Hampshire! We drove up to Glen on Thursday, we got to the hotel had some dinner and went swimming! The pool was great there was two of them, one for kids which had sprinklers coming out of everywhere. And another that was a family pool. Nicole loved it so much, that she started swimming underwater on her own! We couldnt believe it! She kept doing it over and over again. She is definitley a fish!!! We are so proud of her!

The next morning we got up and had a nice big breakfast and headed for Storyland! It is an amusement park for younger kids but fits everyone (wink wink). Her favorite thing was the rollercoaster! We went on it 5 or 6 times! We also did the Twirling Turtle ride and Daddy got so sick. Nicole and I were hysterically laughing at him...it was so funny!

She is very good at driving. She told the man at the gate she drives better than her daddy...no words can be more true! She even got her license at the end of the ride!

This was on the water raft! So much fun! But then at the end she got wet and threw a fit! LOL We loved it!


Nicole loves the carousel...and had to have the pink horse!!!

This was the crazy professor ball pit...you wouldnt believe how loud it was. It was chaos! There were so many balls! She loved it, she kept falling and laughing. It was pretty funny.








Then we headed to the Westphals Friday night...we played some Wii and had an early night. We got up in the morning and headed to Bill's work to see the beginning of Bike Week! It was pretty fun!!!!!!

So it was a busy couple of days, but tons of fun!! The weather was great and it was nice to get away!!!!!!

My amazing Corey...you are such a wonderful father...one that only a little girl could dream of having. You make her smile and giggle...you are her comfort and you are her rock. Everything you do for her is out of pure love and everyday I am so grateful that you and I worked so hard to have her and what a blessing it has been not only to be her mom but for you to be her dad. I love you.





Mike you have been such a positive role model in Corey's life. You have influenced Corey in so many ways and he is truly grateful you are his dad. You are not only a wonderful father, father in law, but also an amazing grandfather, The kind i wish i had had in my life. You are sweet, warm and the girls love you so much.

















Thank you Dad for giving me your sense of humor and wit! I am truly honored to have it and use it for good and not evil! LOL!!!!!! I love you so much and really miss you being around. But we have had such great talks, when everyone else is at work! You are a strong man and you have taught me alot about life. I am a strong woman because of you. I love you.




















John Henderson R.I.P. This is everyones first Fathers Day without John. He is sorely missed. You were a sweet man. You taught Corey alot about family and working hard. You were a man who always took care of everyone else above yourself. We love you.















And last but not least a special shout out to Bill. He has been an amazing friend of mine for 10 years now and I wouldnt be where I am without him and his family. He is a great father and has raised two amazing, wonderful, smart and beautiful daughters. They are my sisters. I love them all so much. So Bill thank you for being you.

Ten Things Tuesday for 6/10/08

Okay here is this weeks new list...always makes me feel good after I do this list. I think when you take a step back you see how good we all have it!!!!!!!!

1. My husband as always. Corey is amazing. He makes me laugh like noone else can and we honestly have a great time together. So thank you for being my best friend.

2. The library for having passes to great places such as the Museum of Science which we went to today. We had such a good time and Nicole got to see alot of cool things. It was a joy to watch her laugh, and to see such big things.

3. My mother for listening to me for hours sometimes talk about the same thing, she is the only one who gets it and only one who knows the truth! LOL

4. God for blessing me with this life of being Nicole's mom and Coreys wife.

5. My friend Sam's daughter Emma. She brought her over this week and she is 2 weeks old. So beautiful and small. So sweet and peaceful. I loved holding her in my arms, and ached for another baby. But again God has a plan for me and Nicole is all i need.

6. Central A/C...no really. Its damn hot here and its nice for us to come home and relax and be so cool.

7. My moms and Janets gift certificates for my birthday got me a new bathing suit!!! It looks cute and i dont feel enormous in it!

8. My daughter for having such good manners and knowing right from wrong even at 3. I am amazed at how much she knows.

9. Nicole for being so funny and charming. Corey was laughing at us today he said we were so similar! Makes me laugh to know she has my wit!

10. Corey wanted to throw in one again this week.....he has tonight off from work and they had a late meeting and he didnt have to go to it, he is on the couch with a beer playing Wii!!!!!!!!!

My birthday!

Yes my 35th Birthday has arrived....i cant believe how time flies. Ugh 35? Really. LOL. Nah im alright with it. Actually my 30's have been the best time of my life so far! I went to breakfast with my momma, then went to Rick and Cristina's. Corey had to work :( It was a nice day though. I brought over our Wii and we played a couple of games of bowling and baseball. It was so hot out I had to find something to do inside!!! Even Janet got in on some bowling action!!!




Then Nicole got into her new swimsuit and headed for the pool...it was a great day!
